Softwood lumber – spruce, pine and fir
Tembec produces a comprehensive range of high-quality spruce, pine and fir dimensional lumber products (SPF lumber) from northern Canadian forests. All species and grades are available as Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified – your assurance our products are made with fiber from responsible sources.
We serve residential and commercial construction markets as well as the industrial market, which includes manufacturers of trusses, siding, pallets and other products. Our light, strong SPF lumber is the preferred choice of customers worldwide.
With seven sawmill operations in Québec and Ontario, Tembec is positioned to serve customers in North American and international markets with both:

North American Softwood Lumber Environmental Product Declaration
Environmental Product Declaration or EPD is a standardized tool to communicate the environmental performance of a product or system. Much like a brochure, an EPD is a multi-page document which contains environmental performance information that is derived from a life cycle assessment (LCA). The kind of information typically included in an EPD addresses energy consumption, water consumption, global warming, waste and air emission, among other common environmental metrics – it’s the environmental version of a nutrition label.
The Canadian and American Wood Councils have produced a generic EPD for North American commodity wood products such as softwood lumber.
